The Class of 2013 started a tradition freshman year in which after each year of fundraising we pledged to make a donation to a local cause. We decided to make these donations because we have realized how important the sense of community is at Saint Anselm College. We want to give back to the community that supports us on a daily basis. Also as a Class Council, it is important to give back to our student body because they are the reason we are elected to our current positions.
After our Freshman year we made a donation to Langdon Mills, which offers after school programs to local Manchester children. This year we decided to make a donation to the Academic Resource Center (ARC) here at Saint Anselm College. We chose to make a donation to the ARC because we want to help the director, Dr. Catanese help create an even more welcoming atmosphere then what is already offered. Dr. Catanese and our Class Council have decided to put our donation toward social events that will be occurring in the ARC and possible lighting that will be put up outside on the newly redone patio.
